Troop Committee
The Boy Scout Troop Committee is responsible for conducting the business of the troop, setting policy, and helping the Scoutmaster and Scouts with the outdoor program and other planned activities. The committee also has the responsibility to provide adults for boards of review.
Adult & Parent help is always needed – whether helping for a fundraiser/event or taking a position on the Troop Committee or just in general. Contact the Scoutmaster or Committee Chair to offer your help at any level.
This is an important responsibility and is one area where help is always needed and appreciated. The committee consists of parent and adult volunteers who fulfill various roles. Troop Committee positions include Committee Chairperson, Secretary, Chartered Organization Representative, Treasurer, Eagle Advisor, Advancement, Merit Badge Coordinator, Campmaster, Transportation, and Venture Crew.
Detailed responsibilities of these positions can be found on the Boy Scouts of America website.
